designed for the United States military in 1965. It is made from a durable cotton blend fabric, typically in an olive green and is designed to provide protection and functionality in a range of weather conditions.
The jacket features a number of distinctive elements, including a full-length front zipper and a snap-closure storm flap that helps to keep wind and rain out. The collar can be worn up or down and has a concealed hood that can be deployed when needed. The jacket also has four large front pockets, two on the chest and two on the hips, with snap closures that provide ample storage space.
One of the most notable features of the M65 field jacket is the adjustable waist, which can be cinched in to provide a more tailored fit. The sleeves also have adjustable cuffs that can be secured with Velcro, allowing for a customized fit.
