The jacket is technically new and unworn, we got it from a store on clearance back in 2018, but never got around to wearing it so it sat in a box. As you can see in the pictures, the leatherette material has creases in it where it was folded (like on the left side in the picture above the lace decor), and in those spots it is de laminating? It hasn't flaked off, but I don't know how that will affect the longevity of the material.
