Ottoman / Persian Miniature Painting – Bath Scene | Hand-Coloured Manuscript Leaf | 18th–early 19th century | Framed 27 × 35 cm
Beautiful and finely detailed hand-painted manuscript leaf depicting an oriental bathhouse (hammam) scene, rendered in rich gouache and gold on paper. The composition shows a group of women bathing and conversing in an interior with patterned walls and domed roofs, characteristic of Ottoman or Persian miniature painting.
Executed in vibrant pigments and real gold highlights, with elegant Arabic script along the top and bottom. The refined style and strong architectural detailing suggest a work from the late 18th to early 19th century, produced in the Ottoman Empire or Qajar Persia.
A striking and decorative piece of manuscript art, beautifully preserved and mounted in a simple wooden frame (overall size 27 × 35 cm). The colours remain vivid, and the sheet shows only minor age-related toning consistent with its age.
Condition: Excellent overall – minor foxing, stable pigments, no tears.
